The war against Hamas and the volunteers (6)

Continuation. For previous materials click hereherehere, here and here

More than 2 months have already passed since the attack on Israel by the Hamas killers on October 7th, which led to the terrible death of approximately 1,400 civilians, military and police, the capture of more than 240 hostages, including the bodies of those who were killed and foreign workers, which led to the outbreak of the War of Iron Swords, for the total destruction of terrorists in Gaza and the return of the hostages. Israel paid a big price: from October 31 to December 14, 116 IDF soldiers were killed during the ground operation in Gaza.
.
At the same time, international terrorism in the world, especially those who want to destroy Israel, still has many defenders. Among the countries that are concerned about the “peaceful unfortunate Palestinians”, Putin’s Russia stands out. The country that invaded to Ukraine on February 24, 2022 and mercilessly destroyed entire cities, making millions of Ukrainians refugees. 3,500 people are still in captivity.
.
On December 14th, almost 2 years after the start of the war in Ukraine, the dictator within 4 hours held a direct line for Russians, and also answered questions from authorized journalists. In his own style, he touched Israel’s war in Gaza, comparing it with the “special military operation” Russia is doing in Ukraine.
.
Putin believes that the fighting carried out by the Israeli Defense Forces in the Gaza Strip differs significantly from Russia’s “special military operation” on the territory of Ukraine.
.
“What is happening is of course a disaster. We have just talked about the situation related to the Ukrainian crisis, but you and everyone present here and around the world can see: look at the special military operation and what is happening in Gaza, and see the difference. There is nothing like that in Ukraine.
.
You mentioned the death of thousands of children and women. The UN Secretary General has called today’s Gaza Strip the largest children’s cemetery in the world. This assessment says a lot. This is an objective assessment. Nothing to say here.”
.
The dictator added that Moscow stands for the creation of a Palestinian state, preserving the civilian population of Gaza and ensuring the supply of humanitarian aid to the strip. According to him, Russia intended to open its field hospital in the Gaza Strip near the border with Egypt, but Israel said it was unsafe.
.
On the November 4th Gilad Erdan, Israel’s representative to the UN, in response to a speech by the Russian representative calling for Israel to be condemned and held accountable, accused Russia of using the war in the Middle East to divert attention from their military operations in Ukraine.
.
“It’s funny to hear from a Russian representative moralizing about Israel regarding human rights and international law. Russia is the last one who can preach to us”.
.
According to Erdan, Russia is using Hamas attack on Israel in a “perverted way” to “divert the world’s attention” from its military operation in Ukraine.
.
Erdan’s criticism was a reaction to the words of the Russian representative to the UN, Nebenzya, who had previously stated that Israel, as an occupier state, does not have the right to defend itself.
.
Nebenzya noted that the United States and its allies “filled their mouths with water”, despite the destruction in Gaza “many times greater than what they angrily criticize in other regional contexts, attacks on civilian targets, including hospitals, the horrific death of thousands of children and the suffering of the civilian population under conditions of total blockade.”
From the very beginning of the attack by Hamas killers, volunteer organizations began to work throughout the country.
.
The largest center “Eran’s Angels” is located in the EXPO center in Tel Aviv, where, in addition to Israelis, people come from a variety of countries to help.
I present to your attention the sixth photographic material about their work.

On December 15th a huge tragedy happened. Israeli soldiers shot and killed three hostages who escaped from the Hamas captivety.

“According to a senior officer of the Southern Command, based on the initial investigation, the incident began after one of the soldiers stationed in the building noticed three suspicious figures emerging from the building a few tens of meters away.

According to the investigation, all three were shirtless and one of them was carrying a stick with an improvised white flag.

The soldier, who believed that the men moving towards him were an attempt by the Hamas to lure IDF soldiers into a trap, immediately opened fire and shouted “terrorists!” to the other forces.

According to the investigation, the soldier killed two men and the third, who was wounded, fled back into the building from which he came from.

At this stage, the battalion commander, who was also in the building from which the soldier was shooting, came outside and ordered the forces to cease fire.

Meanwhile, cries of “Help” in Hebrew were heard in the area.

Moments later, the third man emerged from the building he had fled into and another soldier opened fire on him, evetually killing him.

Yotam Haim, 28, from Kibbutz Kfar Gaza

On December 6, Iris Haim talks on channel 14 about her son Yotam, who was kidnapped by                                                                            Hamas.

An hour before it was announced that a tragedy had happened with three hostages who had escaped from Hamas captivity and were shot by Israeli soldiers, Iris Haim, Yotam’s mother, spoke on Channel 12 and said that it is impossible to make concessions by releasing terrorists, and that the lives of the soldiers, as well as the fact that many Israelis will pay for that in the future, are no less important. The story of Corporal Gilad Shalit, who fell asleep in a tank and was captured by Hamas on June 25, 2006. On the morning of October 18, 2011, after five years and four months of imprisonment, Gilad was released and handed over as part of a deal with Hamas in exchange for 1,027 Palestinian prisoners, more than 400 of whom were terrorists convicted by an Israeli court of murdering 599 Israelis.

In the second phase of the deal, Israel committed to releasing 550 prisoners of its choosing by the end of 2011. Their names were published on December 14, and on December 18 the terrorists were released.

Iris Haim, the mother of Yotam Haim, one of three hostages mistakenly killed by the IDF, sent an audio message to the troops saying that “no one blames them for what happened.”

“Good afternoon, 17th battalion. This is Iris Haim, mother of Yotam Haim. I wanted to tell you that I love you very much and hug you from a distance. I know that everything that happened is not your fault, The only one to blame is Hamas,” the recording says.

“I ask you to take care of yourself and remember at all times that you are doing the most important and right thing in the world, which can help us as the people of Israel. It is important for all of us that you stay healthy,” says a woman who just lost her son.

“Don’t hesitate for a second if you see a terrorist, no one thinks that you killed the hostages on purpose, you need to defend yourself, and only you can protect us,” says Iris Haim and adds that she would like to meet the fighters to whom the message is addressed as soon as it will be possible.

Alon Shimriz is the third abductee who was accidentally killed by the IDF in Gaza.
He was 26 years old at the time of his death, he lived in the youth neighborhood in Kfar Gaza.  He was about to start a degree in computer engineering at Sapir College.
His family and friends described him as a person who loves life and is an avid basketball fan, who even played on the Shaar HaNegev basketball team.

Samer Fouad al-Talalka, 25 years old, from Hora, was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Am

Yesterday, on December 15th a huge tragedy happened. Israeli soldiers shot and killed three hostages who escaped from the Hamas.

The soldier, who believed that the men moving towards him was an attempt of Hamas to lure IDF soldiers into a trap, immediately opened fire and shouted “terrorists!” to the other forces.

Moments later, a third man emerged from the building he had fled into and another soldier opened fire on him, eventualy killing him.

The battalion commander then realized that the third man’s appearance was unusual and it turned out that he was an Israeli hostage. All three bodies were collected and sent to Israel for identification.

The soldier who immediately opened fire on the three men did it not according to protocol, as did the second soldier who killed the third man, the officer said.

However, the IDF understands what made the soldiers do it.
A senior officer claims that in Sajaiya, the IDF has not identified a single Palestinian civilian in recent days.

The only people in civilian clothes that were seen are Hamas terrorists, often unarmed. The terrorists collect weapons left in various buildings, open fire on the troops, and then again flee unarmed to another building.

The officer says troops have killed at least 38 Palestinian terrorists in Sajaiya in recent days.

The IDF also encountered several seemingly unarmed civilians in Sajaiya who were later turned out to be Hamas suicide bombers.

There were also several attempts by Hamas in the area to lure soldiers into ambushes.

A few hundred meters from the scene of the tragedy, military personnel discovered a building a few days ago, on the outer walls of which there was an inscription SOS and two words in Hebrew: “help” and “hostages.” However, the building was not checked because of fear that it was mined and serving as a trap. Now it will be checked to find out if the three killed hostages were hiding there.

Soldiers at the time believed the building was mined and the military is now investigating a possible connection to the incident.

Immediately after the incident, the IDF sent new protocols to ground troops in case more hostages will be able to escape captivity.

This very scenario of hostages walking through a combat zone was never taken into account by the IDF

Hundreds of people arrived today (Wednesday) at noon for the funeral of Sergeant Boris Donavetsky, a lone soldier, 21 years old, from Kiryat Bialik, a a fighter in “shiryon” brigade, who fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Boris, was killed already at the beginning of the week and was laid to rest today after waiting for his parents who live in Russia to arrive to Israel.

There was concern that since he was a lone soldier, there would not be a large presence, but after a call went out on social media, many people came to accompany him on his last journey. Among those arriving, members of the board and graduates of the Alonei Yitzhak Youth Village, where he stayed after arriving to Israel. Boris was a lone soldier, who lived in Kriyat Bialik in a shared apartment. Immigrated to Israel in 2018 as part of the Naaleh program, a unique educational program designed for Jewish youth around the world who come to Israel without their parents.

Yaroslav Bandin, a friend of Donavetsky, said after hearing of his death: “We immigrated to Israel 5 years ago alone. We lived in Alonei Yitzhak for three years, and two years in Kiryat Bialik. He came from Russia, he was a good guy, we would watch movies together and spend time together. At school he loved physics, he was a good student. He wanted to be a warrior. He had plans after the army to go study engineering at the Technion. Boris planned to build his life here in Israel. He loved the military service, he had a lot of friends and we spent a lot of time on holidays. He planned a trip to the USA after the army.”

Boris’s uncle said: I had three meetings with you.  In the first at the end of September you were a bit depressed of the army. After we met on October 15th in the south you said that you were preparing to enter – you already were not depressed, you were determined, happy, focused, you knew where you were going and what you were going to do. We met in Zikim for the third time at the end of November and a different person came out to us, a person who was not only taught where he was going. A man who knew exactly what he was doing. You were calm and confident and I was happy because I knew that you know what you were going to do and that’s what makes a hero – know how to go into danger and be calm because you know what you need to do.”

His friend from the Lotus group in the youth village, Lee, said in tears: “Our dear friend, I can’t believe that I am writing these words. You were always a ray of sunshine for us, the nicest person we knew, a person we could always turn to, you were always supportive and listened. I want you to know, brother, that you will always remain in the hearts of each of us.”

The coordinator from the pre-military preparatory school, Zohar, spoke about Boris and his love for “Shiryon”: “Where else do you find people who at the age of 15 leave their country and come alone to another country, finish school in a high place and then go to a pre-military preparatory school to be better, choose to go to the army, which everyone just wants to escape from. who do their service in the best possible way, who see only the good in life, who smile because they don’t just need a reason to smile, who love everyone around them because they are simply human. Where do you find another friend like that for life who will always be there for you? Where do you find those who choose to live in the moment, here and now? Where do you find someone like you? Boris, I want to say thank you for being you in this world, thank you for fighting so that we can sleep better at night, thank you for giving your soul to the country, thank you for the three years you were in my life at the preparatory school – a huge privilege.”Sorry, if I wasn’t there enough for you when you needed me and *Sorry from all of us as a people that because we weren’t united and didn’t see the good in each other we ended up in this situation we’re in today.* I want you to know that we won’t forget you, that your path in life will lead and continue to beat and now This is our mission for everyone who speaks, to be a little more Boris, to love, to smile, to be truly happy, to lower their ego, to accept each other, to respect, to see the good, to live humbly and say thank you for the little things.”

Sergeant Kiril Brodsky, fell in the battles in the Gaza Strip, and yesterday (Tuesday), the news of his death was allowed to be published, along with two other soldiers, Staff Sergeant Tomer Yaakov Achims and Sergeant Shaked Dahan, was laid to rest today (Wednesday) at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. The shivah will take place at his residence at 13 Hazor St. in Ramat Gan.

In great pain, with tears and broken voice, the soldier’s father, Victor Brodsky, recited Kaddish over his son alongside the chief military rabbi.

You always said that every child should enlist to the IDF

Alena, Kirel’s mother paid tribute to her son in tears alongside his father and sister. “Our dear son, I am standing here to accompany you, we don’t know how we will live without your smile and the light of your face, which was always happy and never complained.

Kirill Brodsky. “You are a hero, you were a hero and you will always remain in my heart”, photo: IDF spokesman

“All the things he achieved in his short life he achieved by himself. He had a goal and would always reach it. He was always a hard worker and always running to help everyone. He gave up sleep and strength many times in favor of others because it was important to him, his friends were waiting for him outside, and he said mom, you can wait because my friends also want to see me. On October 7th, something happened that I never believed would happen. He went to kibutz Nirim, and when he fell there he saved people and I am proud of him for what he did, but on the other hand it’s hard for me not to see him and not hear his laughter anymore.”

“You defended the Land of Israel the way you wanted and you always said that every child should enlist and it doesn’t matter if it’s to be a warrior or not, even to be some kind of helper, to do something, but to contribute to the country. That was your opinion and we agreed. You are a hero, you were a hero and you will always remain in my heart. My heart is broken, broken, really broken, we love you and you will always remain in our hearts and memories.”

You were a brave warrior, always ready, always in the silence that characterized you”

Lieutenant Colonel Alon Peled paid tribute to Sergeant Brodsky: “My heart is torn in two and there is no cure in the world. From the first moment we understood that a serious guy had arrived to our division. You were determined to learn the area and perform your role to the best of your ability. I was privileged to be with you in your early days, always ready, always in the quietness that characterized you and always a professional. You were a brave warrior. You fought and protected this amazing country region of “Eshkol” and for that I salute you. You jumped without hesitating and you were the first in the car, you protected the residents with your body along with the rest of the command group and from that event you didnt came back.

Sergeant Kiril Brodsky’s from Ramat Gan funeral. His teacher paid tribute to him: “You had a captivating smile, you behaved modestly and knew how to show gratitude”,

“I stand here as a representative of your friends who couldnt be here and say goodbye to you because they continue fighting.  Your image will be the compass and we will continue to do everything in the spirit and image of Kirill.  The dear Brodsky family, you can be proud of Kirill – there are no words to comfort in the face of this great loss and they cannot ease the terrible pain at this difficult time. We share your heavy grief, you will forever be part of the Southern Brigade family.  Kirill, I and all the brigade commanders salute you on your last journey.  You will forever be a part of us.”
.
“You joined the people of Israel to be one of the builders of the land and the temples of God”
.
The chief rabbi of Ramat Gan: “I came here on behalf of all the residents of Ramat Gan.  As I managed to hear, I investigated a bit about you, and as your commanders said here, you ran among the heads of the force to save the people of Israel.  That day we had a big crisis but it is not an acute crisis because on that day heroes like you rose up to save and protect so the blood of Israel is not wasted.  You came from the northern countries and joined the people of Israel to be the builders of the land and the temples of God.  We know that we lost a pleasant and modest man from whom we expected great things. There is no creature that can stand between you.”
His teacher from school paid him a tribute: “You were a true patriot, a Zionist and it was important to you to contribute.”  You didn’t demand anything from anyone and you didn’t ran away from hard work. You had a captivating smile, behaved modestly and knew how to be grateful. It pains me to think that there will be people who don’t know who you are. You were surrounded by good friends, family and a girlfriend you loved very much.  Thank you for protecting us with your body, it was a great privilege to be the educator of a hero like you.”

Chen Yahalom, a 35-year-old  major in reserve, tragically died on the morning of November 18 in an accident while riding his bicycle on Highway 44 near Holon.

Yahalom, who survived by his wife, two brothers and parents, was called up to the reserves on October 7, when the War of the Iron Swords began. He served on the northern border in the Moran reconnaissance battalion of the artillery corps.

On Friday he returned home to spend 24 hours on leave. On Saturday morning he went for a ride with two of his friends. While the three were riding on the side of Route 44, they were hit by a private vehicle. Two of Yahalom’s friends suffered minor injuries, MADA medics tried to save Yahalom’s life. Unfortunately, he died at Wolfson Hospital from a traumatic brain injury.

Yahalom was well known in the Israeli triathlon and running community, having competed for the past 15 years. Recently won the Half Iron Man competition in Israel in 2022, in the 30-34 age group, showing an impressive time of 5 hours, 9 minutes and 4 seconds.

“I already miss you and we only spoke 16 hours ago”
.

Chen’s friend for training, Gal Tikhon, wrote: “We have had so much Chen Yahalom in recent years, and we didn’t had enough. And there will be no more. There is the moment that I’m so proud of, that I had the honor to enjoy and watch from the sidelines. With the slouched hat, the crooked smile, and the lightness with which Hantz and Gantz (Or and Adi) arrived two days before, and “what are you making a story about this “Kune” of yours, Iron Man, putting two Gels in our pocket and we’ll be fine”.

“And there are the two cases that don’t go a week that I don’t mention in some briefing, about the one who didn’t let others set standards for him, and retired in an event that was in his pocket because he was disappointed in himself, and came back and closed the story the way he thinks it should be closed. And the last joint training, where I invited Chen and Yaniv to run in the stadium, not because they have to, but because I want to see them and Dvir train, the dogs of the spirit. That’s how I want to stand and enjoy a group of professionals. For no special reason.

“Beyond all the performances and achievements, the friend’s grace. Gran Fondo when Ron has a flat tire, and everyone continues forward. almost everyone. Except for one who stayed to help his friend and bridged with him at the cost of a glorious breakup. The leaping spirit dog, who tied shoelaces and went to make sure his friend fulfills his dream in the Tiberias Marathon. Chen Yahalom, a smiling boy, a talented boy, a boy who, despite his natural data, worked harder than everyone else, and made sure to be the best possible at work, the best possible in the family and the best possible in the battalion. I already miss you and we only spoke 16 hours ago”.

“You were our heart and you didn’t even tried to be: quiet”

Another friend, Yaron Litan, wrote: “How do you eulogize a young brother, how do you eulogize a 30 something year old? What do you say that will take away the pain and the tears and put some order in your head, why and how it all happened? I feel that I am not here, that it is not happening, somewhere on Route 44, near Mikve Israel, the place where the suffering begins.

“I remember only joy and only good from you. You were always there when I needed you and I always knew there was someone to lean on. I do not answer all the difficult questions of why and that there is no justice, in the end it will lead nowhere. Looking at the pictures and remembering the amazing experiences that were had and these experiences, memories and moments, I want to share. Five years that we have known each other, years packed with crazy events, experiences we created, in competitions, trainings and the many hours we sweated together. I guess that only when you reach extreme points you understand and appreciate what friendship is, or who a friend is.

“I don’t think I have even one serious hour in total with you, seriousness didn’t dare to touch us, most of our quality time was on the bike, when our butt hurt or when we ate bananas, especially on climbs, where everyone suffers, but we chose to laugh. Mainly about me – because you and Fatal liked to sting me in the last hundred meters, you also liked to laugh at me during the run where you always ran away from me. But at the pizzas there was a close fight and I pretty much broke you guys up with alcohol, or in Vegas, you kids.

“Do you remember when someone once thought I was your father? It made you laugh so much and for a whole year you reminded me of it, and you didn’t stop laughing that I was old. I tried to laugh at you back, call you “Chen the Fat” because you fly in the wind, and tell you that your mustache is ridiculous, and that my daughter calls you “Chen the French” because of it. But in the end I just got old and it seems to me that you won in this joke contest of ours.

“We rode from Metula to Eilat, we climbed the Everest, we did all the hardest peaks in the country, simply because we wanted to and mainly to eat a hearty plate at the end, or some energy snack, can someone say that iron men don’t know how to have fun. We easily smashed the Israman, we did Iron Man in Hamburg, Texas and Hawaii. But we had the most fun in Vegas and moreover in the Corona time, where we counted no one and flow with life in an orange Mustang and slept in the same bed for almost two weeks straight.

“You were our heart and you didn’t even tried to be: quiet: modest, but bringing everyone together, funny in the most difficult moments, encouraging, indecisive, not hurt by anything and not hurting anyone. There is no people like you and there never will be, we are left here in a never-ending avalanche, falling and crashing. And you laugh at us and stay young forever.

“With these words I embrace Or and your families, I know how much you loved them and it is important that they know it too. I Know that you had many other plans and goals and that now only memories of you will remain. I wanted to tell you that you won grace and created a diamond (yahalom), it was such a rare and large diamond – it hurts me, it hurts us so much. Thank you for what you were and what you will always be for me.”

“He was the salt of the earth, one who never complained,” his father Roni paid tribute to him this morning in a conversation with “ynet”.

He never complained about anything and always did good deeds. He was one of those people who did good deeds quietly, without seeking recognition. For example, we, his parents, didn’t even knew that he graduated from officer courses with flying colors until we found out about it at the ceremony. That’s the kind of person he was – outstanding and humble.”

“Such things happen in war”

Yarin Gahali was killed in the Gaza Strip by friendly fire. His parents want to hug the soldiers who mistakenly killed their son.

Knesset member Matan Kahana (“The National Unity”) spoke about his conversation with Oren and Shira Gahali, the parents of the platoon commander  in the Givati brigade reconnaissance unit, 22 year old Yarin Gahali, who was killed in battle in the Gaza Strip as a result of “friendly” fire.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), MP Kahana wrote: “Yarin, as his parents told me, was killed by fire from our troops. The parents have no anger at the soldiers who shot their son. All the parents want is to hug the soldiers and strengthen their strength to continue fighting.”

Kahana quoted the grieving parents: “These things happen in war, and those who don’t see it cannot understand what the soldiers go through.”

Kahana also wrote: “Everything that Yarin did in his life, he completed, if it was school, basketball or the army. “Textbook boy,” as his mother called him.”

In addition, Matan Kahana said: “On October 7, Yarin, together with a small detachment, began to fight in Sderot. Having killed a large number of terrorists, they moved to Kibbutz Nir Oz, where they saved many Israelis. One of them even recognized Yarin Gahali later and told him: “You, it was you who saved me.”

“During the Shiva, I met Miriam Peretz, who constantly admired the heroism of Yarin and his friends. “A wonderful generation,” Miriam said, and everyone nodded. May the soul of Yarin Gahali be bound by the bonds of eternal life,” Matan Kahana concluded his tweet.”

The most Spitz of them all.
.
It hurts friends and associates in the work department who knew Alex Spitz for 14 years, who fell on Saturday evening in Khan Younes in a serious incident that left another dead and several injured.
.
Alex was charming, a diamond, and the anchor of the group: strong and tough, but the softest and warmest gentlemen, tenacious and brilliant, but also shy and modest.
.
A professional in everything that touches him both in work and in battle, the one who eats last, making sure that everyone is eaten, and also in the last battle took care of the others and saved the wounded in battle.
.
Alex, this is the friend from work who will support you when you need him, and this is the dad with that special bond and with his son, the one you always wanted for yourself.
.
Despite his advancing age, Alex insisted on serving in the first line at the front, because that’s how fighters are… It’s hard to let go.
.
This photo was taken in Hazor at the Super Tribe school. The residents of Hazor received his battalion for about a month, pampered them, packed them up and gave them everything good.
.
In one of the last messages he wrote to Mirit, he wanted to thank her and all the residents for their dedication and warm attitude.
.
We are proud to have had the honor of providing you with a good experience, and I am proud to have known you and worked with you every day for 14 years.
.
A flowerbed of beautiful flowers grows in the Garden of Eden, and another huge light disappears from the world.
.
I greet you, Spitz, and I promise to remember you and continue your path and the path of the other fighters we lost until the victory.
.
Big hugs to your partner, son and family, we miss our hero already,
🥀, rest in peace warrior.

Yaron Eliezer Chitiz
Thousands came today (Thursday) to the military section of the cemetery in Ra’anana to escort to eternal rest the city’s son, Captain Yaron Eliezer Chitiz, who was 23 years old when he died. Yaron was a deputy company commander in the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade and was killed in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. He survived by his parents, three brothers and a sister. After his death his family donated his organs.
.

The mother Debi mourned in tears: “Yaroni, what a special boy. Everyone loved you. What a special personality. Sorry Yaroni, I wish I could switch with you. You haven’t been home for 80 days. You arrived for Shabbat and we prayed the “gomel” blessing. You left on Sunday morning.

“I’m glad you were home at least on Saturday. I was worried but I understood that you need to come back. Yaroni, you made us all proud. I will always love you and miss you, hero of Israel. I love you to the sky and back. The people of Israel Lives”.

.

goodbye my son

Father Clive said in tears over his son’s grave: “Everyone who knew you said only good things about you. Your unconditional love for your mother and siblings represented the person you were. You met the love of your life, Dera, and you planned your life together. You planned to start a family.

“Unfortunately, on October 7th, the war started. You believed in everything you did, you called ‘after me’ and the soldiers followed you, they trusted you. We honor you today in your death as we honored you in your life. Be our honest advocate in heaven. I will adore you and love you until my last day. I love you my son, goodbye.”

Sister Yael also spoke and said: “My beloved little brother. How do I eulogize you? It feels unreal. How were you taken from us? Last time I saw you was on Sunday. I gave you a hug and told you not to be a hero and to come back to us. How did you do this to us? Just so you know, Dera will always be a part of our family. She will be like a sister to me. I will miss you very much. I would do anything for you to come back to us. You left a hole in my heart in your shape.”

“I adored you”

Brother Dovi said in tears: “You loved our country, you knew it. You climbed mountains and conquered peaks. Although I am your older brother, I am the one who adored you very much. They tell me I look like you and it fills me with pride because I want to be like you. I love you. I miss you terribly. The house will not be the same.”

Brother Daniel: “Yeroni, my little brother, my beloved brother, my good friend, where are you? You were a perfect brother. When I found out I had a son, it was clear to me that you would be his godfather. I always told my father and mother that you were their masterpiece. You were an amazing uncle to Adam. You were so loving and loved. I was a privilage to be your big brother. My heart hurts now, it hurts to know that the finish line came too soon.

“I’m happy that I got to have one last sit down with you this weekend. For 80 days I walked around with the fear that I would have to eulogize you. And this weekend gave me the feeling that everything will be fine. On Sunday the boy returned to the army and now the boy is gone.”

Brother Doron: “You are a real gift that we have received for 24 years. There are no such people, no such brothers. We miss you and cry for you. You are a royal dead. You are not only ours, you belong to the entire nation of Israel. Look how many people came, thousands of people throughout the Ahuza street with Israeli flags. The last act you did was to donate your organs. You have now risen to the rank of saint.”

P.S.

From the editor of belisrael

Unfortunately, our heroic soldiers are dying every day in Gaza. There are also on the northern border from Hezbollah.

Posting information about them is taking more and more time. In fact, often from morning until late evening, or even until the night. Moreover when it is in three languages. For me it turned out to be an incredibly long and terribly tiring task.

At the same time, I want to compile the life stories of each and everyone of them. I ask relatives, friends, acquaintances, colleagues, and those who follow the Israeli tragedy on the Internet to prepare and send materials.

For Hebrew speakers, write also in English, after which it will be published in translation to Russian. You can attach 10-15, maximum 20 good quality photographs to the text. Also indicate the location of each photo. For those who write in Russian, also send in Hebrew and English.

This is a long-term activity and requires the participation of many people. I’d like to think there are such people who wants to help. Write about yourself along with your phone number to amigosh4@gmail.com

Apart from the war, I want to continue my normal life and publish materials on other various topics.
